Synopsis:

American Vampire delivers one hell of a satisfying package, and the format alone is almost as intriguing as the actual stories told. The lead feature sees Snyder follow his protagonist, starry-eyed actress Pearl Jones, through the underbelly of 1920's Hollywood, where she encounters unseemly characters and vampires alike. The back-up sees King flash back to 1880 to tell the wild west origins of the series' vampire antagonist, who we meet only briefly in Snyder's lead. The two combine to provide a rich, textured romp through vampire Americana, in such a fun way as to suggest the possibilities of this vehicle are as endless as the lives of the undead.
