Turn down (2. separable) a request / an offer / an applicant / an application etc.	to refuse or reject (something or someone) رفض / لم يقبل	I thought I could borrow some money from Jamil, but when I asked, he turned me down. لقد ظننت أنه باستطاعتي أن أقترض بعض المال من جميل ، لكنني لما طلبت منه ذلك رفض.
